Fee-for-service first, every time. Most engagements are a fixed fee against a written scope. When it makes sense for both sides, we're open to putting skin in the game, trading part of the fee for a modest equity stake or a revenue-share so our upside is tied to yours. It's an option we'll talk through together, never a condition of working with us.
It depends on scope, so we price each engagement after a short call. As a rough guide: MVP sprints are fixed-price projects, fractional CTO and embedded-team work run as monthly retainers, and a fractional senior partner costs a fraction of a full-time CTO hire. You'll always get the number in writing before anything starts.
You do, from day one. The repository, infrastructure, and every account are created in your name. When you're ready to bring the work in-house, you inherit a clean, documented codebase, not a black box.
